IBPS PO Syllabus 2020
IBPS PO Syllabus 2020: The Syllabus for IBPS PO 2020 is set by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The syllabus is important to a candidate to understand the Exam Pattern.
In this article, candidates shall find the detailed section-wise syllabus for the upcoming IBPS PO 2020 exam.
The IBPS PO 2020 Notification is released on 04th August 2020 and the candidates can apply online until 26th August 2020.
The IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three different steps as listed below:
- IBPS PO Preliminary Exam
- IBPS PO Mains Exam
- IBPS PO Interview
A candidate must clear each level of examination to get selected to the post of Probationary Officer in multiple Public Sector Banks.

IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam contains a total of 100 questions with a total mark 100 and time duration of 60 minutes. Question type remains Multiple Choice questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the exam.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern
Questions type for IBPS PO Mains Exam remains multiple choice with a slightly higher difficulty level then preliminary exam. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer. The overall time allowed for IBPS PO 2020 Mains Exam has also been changed from 140 minutes to 180 minutes.

IBPS PO Interview
- Candidates who qualify the IBPS PO Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS.
The interview round is of 100 marks.
- For qualifying, this round will be 40% which is reduced and 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.
- The final score is calculated by IBPS with marks given to the main examination and interview the ratio of 80:20 respectively.
- Candidates who make it to the list will be hereafter offered the joining letter by the Bank of their choice.
